Abstract: This paper describes laboratory testing of the influence of fire extinguishing agent NAF S III on the metallic and nonmetallic elements of the fire protective stationary systems which use Halon 1301 in combat vehicles. The tests were conducted on the samples of structural elements of the fire protective stationary systems which come into direct contact with extinguishing agent NAF S III during use. The results showed that the fire extinguishing agent NAF S III is not aggressive to metallic elements (steel, brass, copper alloys) and nonmetallic elements made of Teflon, but is aggressive compared to rubber elements of commercial quality. Key words: fire extinguishing agent, metal materials, nonmetal materials, stationary systems for fire protection.
