RECONSTRUCTION OF AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE WITH THE AIM OF OPTIMIZING AND EXTENDING AIRCRAFT LIFE CYCLE

Abstract: This paper describes results of research based on process of reconstruction of main control surface assembly of jet training aircraft. The main aim of reconstruction was to extend life cycle of whole aircraft through optimization of shape and choice of material for structural parts. The cause, which initiated research in this area and statistic review of structure behavior in real time during service, is presented. Analyses of considered variants of design solution and stress analyses were made. Efficient numerical method, which is used during structural analysis of considered solution, is explained. Verification of computation and design methods was made on real example during manufacture of control surface assembly and aircraft test flights, as well.
