Abstract: The double base rocket propellants samples, NGR-176 and NGR-316 were subjected to artificial ageing at 70оС, 80оС ,90оС и 100оС for times necessary for the complete consumption of the stabilizer. The contents of residual stabiliyer in aged samples werw measured by method of gas chromatography and loss weight of aged samples was measured, too. The assessment of chemical stability of aged samples by conventional methods (Method of heating at 100оС, Metyl-Violet method at 120оС and Hansen method at 110оС were made. By correlation of all experimental results, disadvantages of conventional methods werw confirmed. It requires the introduction of certain changes related to applications of conventional stability methods for assessment of chemical stability of double base rocket propellants according SORS 8069/9
