Eclipsing effect in spread spectrum radars and sonars with alternate pulse duration
Aleksa Zejak Bojan Zrniæ
To increase maximum radar range, determined with effective radiated energy, pulse duration has to be expanded. However, a larger pulse increases the blind zone, i.e. the eclipsing effect is greater than before. In this paper spread spectrum radar/sonar with alternate pulse duration is proposed as one of possible ways to mitigate the eclipsing zone.
