EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF THE BURNING RATE AND THE SPECIFIC IMPULSE OF SOLID ROCKET PROPELLANTS
Stojanović Radislav Kilibarda Nikola Kozomara Stevan The alternative eyxperimental-calculation method of determining basic kinetic (burning rate and its sensitivity, burning rate a) and energetic propertiers (specific impulse and its variation with pressure) of solid propellants, is investigated in this tudy. This method is based on the controlled variation of the burning surface and on the detected pressure and thrust in the observed time intervals during the propellant stand test. In this way it is possible to obtain all of the above-listed solid rocket propellant properties, on the basis of the measured data from one or two experiments.
