DEPENDENCE OF THE DETONATION VELOCITY UPON DIAMETER AND BULK DENSITY FOR SMOKELESS POWDERS

The dependence of the detonation velocity upon diameter and bulk density for several types of smokeless powders (ballistic type) with different dimensions of plates is examined. In the tested range, the dependence of the detonation velocity upon bulk density is established only for the powders with bigger plate sizes, but not for the smaller ones. The value of the critical diameter with zero detonation velocity is also included in the regressive analysis of the results of dependence of the detonation velocity upon diameter and bulk density.
