IMAGE INTENSIFIERS CHARACTERISTICS AND MEASUREMENT PROCEDURES

The basic functioning principles of the first and the second generation of image intensifiers are presented as well as their basic design characteristics. The most important optoelectronic characteristics of the image intensifiers are defined and their measurement procedures are described.
