ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING VIBRA-TION DAMPING EFFECTS IN GIRDER BRIDGE STRUCTURES WITH CLEARANCES

Knowledge on vibration damping is important in the evaluation of bridge design conditions. However, there is no adequate research to cover specific requirements for recognizing parameter effects on damping. Some potentially significant parameters were analysed as well as their effects on the nature of damping in a prefabricated – disassembling bridge structure which is characterized by clearances between holes and attachment elements (bolts, plugs) in structure connections. A flowchart of registered floating vibrations in a type of such bridge structures was analysed.
