EFFECT OF CLEARANCE IN MECHA-NICAL GEARS ON THE GENERATION AND CHARACTER OF OS-CILLATIONS IN SERVOSYSTEMS

The paper treats the effects of clearance-type nonlinearities in output mechanical gears (reduction gears) on the generation of oscillations which re-duce servosystem output characteristics. Conditions for generating os-cillations in the system are discussed by the analysis of frequency charac-teristics. The procedure for determining ranges of the frequency band where oscillations are likey to be generated is presented as well as the procedure for amplitude size and oscillation character determination.
