AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS FOR PASSENGER CARS

Automatic control and automation in motor vehicles have been treated, particularly in the field of hydrodynamic-mechanical transmissions which have been widely applied. The situation in the development of automatic transmissions for passenger cars has been presented and some realized solutions, which appeared in the world during a few last years, have been analyzed as well.The analysis has shown that a high degree of automation, electronics in particular, characterizes the discussed solutions.
