PROPOSITION OF A SOLUTION AND THE MODULATOR ANALYSIS BASED ON LINEAR APPROXIMATION OF GMSK SIGNALS

A new GMSK modulator has been proposed and described. Its characteristics (complex envelope, eye diagram, spectral power density) have been evaluated and compared to theoretical results. The proposed diagram is of a general type and can be used for arbitrary length of the Gaussian pulse. This modulator is suitable for the application in a software radio since it is realized as a common I/Q modulator.
