AERODYNAMIC PHENOMENA DUE TO HIGH SPEED TRAIN MOTION IN TUNNELS
Some of aerodynamic nonstationary phenomena due to the increase of train motion in tunnels are discussed. The paper gives pressure fluctuation due to shock waves and shock waves reflection from tunnel walls, measured on tunnel walls and on trains as well as inside them. The sonic boom effect is discussed as well as the measures for its avoidance.
