DOPPLER OTPIMIZED RADAR COMPRESION FILTERS DESIGN BY MODIFIED RECURSIVE LEAST SQUARE ALGORITHM

A new algorithm for Doppler optimized mismatch filters is proposed . The new algorithm is named “the modified RLS”. This algorithm is aplicable to both real and complex sequences. It also offers an advantage compared with the IRLS approach because it is possible to attain a tradeoff among two criteria: suppression of the peak sidelobes and suppression of the mean square sidelobes. An additional benefit in application of the proposed algorithm is its reduced computational complexity.
